When Jennifer Lawrence started dating director Darren Aronofsky in 2016, the age gap was immediately the first thing anyone mentioned. She was 26. He was 47. They had met while she was being cast in his film Mother, a psychological horror that received one of the most divided critical receptions of the decade, with audiences either finding it a masterpiece or walking out of screenings in genuine distress.
